Born in Durango, Colorado on May 7, 1992, Elyse was the beloved daughter of Kathy and Bob Parcell. Her passing leaves family, friends, and the Telluride community devastated.

Elyse graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2014 with a degree in Organismic and Environmental Biology. Her career reflected her passion for outdoor adventure and public service. She worked as a wildlife technician for the U.S. Forest Service, wildland firefighter, and ski patrol member. Elyse also interned as a heliski guide in Alaska.
