Melbourne tiler takes revenge on builder

An out-of-pocket tradie has exacted revenge upon a builder who he claimed didn’t pay him in full for his work.

Tiler Simon McPherson filmed himself ripping tiles off a roof he worked on to spite Adrian Padoin, who he claims owes him $6700.

Mr McPherson claims he is due the money for his work on the property in Hadfield, Melbourne, which he completed last May.

But Mr Padoin claims he had paid a deposit and was going to hand over the rest of the money shortly - but that won’t be happening anymore, he told A Current Affair.

Mr McPherson’s footage shows him pulling tiles off the roof of the home and smashing them on the ground.

As he does so, Mr Padoin turns up with a sledgehammer in hand.
“Come down, or I’ll smash your head you c***,” Mr Padoin shouts

But Mr McPherson keeps on chucking tiles off the roof, leading to a scuffle between the pair.

Police were eventually called and both men left the building site. No charges were laid.

Mr McPherson told A Current Affair that he warned Mr Padoin that he would remove the tiles if he was not paid in full.

But Mr Padoin insists that he was going to give the tiler the rest of the money.

However, asked if he would still be paying Mr McPherson, Mr Padoin said after the “spiteful act, now he’s got no money”.

He admitted that the pair “were both getting a bit aggressive” during the confrontation.

“I just wanted him off the roof and he was determined to stay up there and smash as many tiles as possible,” Mr Padoin said.

“It doesn’t look good on me, but I think it’s going to look worse on him.”
